Reported by Game Informer

Hurricanes are coming to Leonida. Here’s what is known.

Game Informer reports localized storms and lasting wet surfaces, with important gameplay questions unanswered.

Weather beyond a change of sky

Game Informer’s September 29 report describes tropical storms and hurricanes in GTA VI. Drawing on Rockstar’s developer details, it also reports localized rain: a storm can be visible elsewhere while the player stands in dry weather.

Puddles and wet surfaces can remain after rain. The article also describes rainbows under suitable lighting conditions.

The questions still open

The report explicitly leaves storm frequency and effects on gameplay or storytelling unanswered. Hundo will not publish hurricane schedules, survival requirements, or mission lockouts without further evidence.

Hundo analysis: weather could become useful context for exploration guides. Before adding a weather condition to an objective, we need a tested connection between that condition and the activity. A dramatic screenshot alone does not establish one.
