Privacy Policy

1. Information we collect

Account information

When you create an account, we collect your email address and a password (stored as a secure hash). If you sign in with Google, we receive your email address and Google profile name from Google's OAuth service. We store a display name derived from your email address.

Waitlist information

If you join our waitlist before launch, we collect your email address and the page source where you signed up. This information is used only to notify you when the Service goes live.

Usage and progress data

When you use the tracker, we store which items you have marked as completed, along with timestamps. If you use notes, we also store private notes you attach to items. This data is associated with your user account.

Playbook and discovery submissions

Guest playbooks store guide bookmarks and completed objective IDs in this browser. Clearing browser storage removes them. Account bookmarks and progress are stored with your account; guest saves are kept separate. Discovery submissions, evidence links, platform/version details, and review feedback are private to you and our editors. If you explicitly allow public credit, your supplied credit name may appear with a published finding. Do not submit private account details or sensitive evidence.

Community photos and video links

Community posts require a free account. We store your submitted title, caption, media, spoiler choice and sharing confirmation. A credit name is public only with your explicit credit choice. Posts and review notes stay private until publication; approved posts display their media, caption, credit choice and publication date, without your account email or identifier. Photos are resized and re-encoded to remove embedded photo metadata, but you should check the visible image for private information before submitting. Video links load from YouTube only when a reader chooses to play or opens the external link. You can withdraw a post from public display in My posts; cached photos may remain visible for up to one minute. Withdrawal does not immediately erase the stored file or private review record. Contact hello@hundotracker.com for privacy, copyright or file-deletion requests. Reports are stored privately for review.

Anonymous activity counts

We count a sample of public page views and selected actions such as saving a guide, opening a backup, and starting checkout. These counts are grouped by day, broad page category and referral category. They do not store visitor IDs, full referring addresses, query parameters, account details or raw IP addresses. Activity collection respects browser Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals. These aggregate counts help us improve the free service.

Automatically collected information

Like most web services, we collect standard server log information including your IP address, browser type, pages visited, and referring URLs. This information is used to operate and improve the Service.

2. Cookies and advertising

Hundo uses Google AdSense to display advertisements. Google AdSense uses cookies and similar tracking technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to our site and/or other sites on the Internet.

You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out through the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out page.

We also use cookies necessary to operate the Service — specifically, session cookies managed by Supabase for authentication. These cookies expire when you sign out or close your browser session.

3. How we use your information

• To provide, maintain, and improve the Service
• To authenticate your account and protect its security
• To sync your completion progress across devices
• To display your progress on the leaderboard (if you have opted in)
• To send launch and product notifications (waitlist email only — no marketing without consent)
• To process payments for optional ad-free memberships via Stripe
• To comply with applicable law

4. Third-party services

We use the following third-party services that may collect and process data on our behalf:

• Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage. Your account credentials and progress data are stored on Supabase infrastructure. Supabase's privacy policy is available at supabase.com/privacy.
• Google OAuth and AdSense — Google provides optional sign-in and delivers advertisements on the Service. Google's privacy policy is available at policies.google.com/privacy.
• Stripe — payment processing for optional ad-free memberships. We do not store your full payment card details. Stripe's privacy policy is available at stripe.com/privacy.
• Resend — transactional email delivery for account confirmations and waitlist notifications. Resend's privacy policy is available at resend.com/legal/privacy-policy.
• YouTube (Google) — our videos page embeds YouTube videos using the privacy-enhanced player (youtube-nocookie.com). YouTube sets no cookies until you press play; once you do, YouTube's own terms and privacy policy apply. Google's privacy policy is available at policies.google.com/privacy.

5. Data sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your email address or account information with third parties except as described in this policy (i.e., with infrastructure providers who process data on our behalf) or as required by law.

Your display name and completion percentage are publicly visible on the leaderboard if you have opted into leaderboard participation. You can opt out at any time from your account settings.

6. Data retention and deletion

We retain your account data as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your login, account progress, notes, saved guides, submissions, community posts and uploaded photos are removed through Account & billing. Export your data first. Active or processing subscriptions and open membership checkouts prevent account deletion until billing has ended. Browser-only guest saves remain separate. Payment records may remain with Stripe for accounting purposes; launch-email preferences are managed separately. Waitlist entries are deleted after launch notifications are sent.

7. Security

We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS), hashed password storage, and row-level security policies in our database. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately.

8. Children's privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
